As early as 2002, the management at Hanomag Heat Treatment Group decided to set up a comprehensive management system that was transparent for all employees, customers and partners.

Today our management system includes the quality, environment and energy sectors. The latest member of our family of systems is the further development of the social responsibility sector. With this, we are building bridges between highly specialised customer requirements, the regulatory framework and also our own demands on an organisation that is always learning.

This philosophy is an integral part of our strategic corporate objectives.
In the following you will learn more about our company-wide activities.

The Hanomag Heat Treatment Group has been certified company-wide since 2006 in accordance with ISO / TS 16949:2009 (in future IATF 16949) and DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. All business processes conform to the requirements of our customers from the automobile industry and many other branches.
As a management team, we provide the necessary human resources, investments as well as suitable training programs. As far as quality is concerned, we make no difference between the local customer and a global player.

As management and as employees of the Hanomag Heat Treatment Group, we have the common goal of continuing to improve our customers’ products through the careful use of heat treatment.
For you that means:

1. We set ourselves a “zero-defect” target
2. We know that a heat treatment:

  • is qualitatively appropriate,
  • is delivered on time and
  • has a very good price-performance ratio that will guarantee satisfaction for our customers.

An optimal heat treatment of your products ensures our jobs and positive economic development. This means that in future we will also be a reliable partner.

We are committed to evaluating and presenting the quality of our daily work in the form of specific performance indicators.

As a hardening plant, we at the Hanomag Heat Treatment Group are well aware that we have an extremely high energy and raw material demand when carrying out our heat treatment processes. We know that the CO2 footprint that we leave is not small.

For this reason we are committed to carrying out our processes in compliance with requirements, safely, and in an environmentally friendly and energy efficient manner. The energy and natural resource consumption of our processes and technologies are optimised so that we can monitor and continuously reduce the impact on the environment.
Each heat treatment process is evaluated according to its impact on the environment and its influence on our energy consumption.

When purchasing, we have specified that whenever economically and qualitatively justifiable, energy-efficient products and services are preferred.
Through our cooperation with professional associations and technology suppliers, we implement internal projects for saving, recycling and substituting hazardous materials.

Environmental protection and the considerate handling of energy are essential elements of our corporate philosophy. The Hanomag Heat Treatment Group is certified across all our locations according to DIN ISO 14001:2015.

It goes without saying that heat treatment processes require a lot of energy. Each waste of energy results in significant costs. This is money that we at Hanomag Heat Treatment Group cannot use for our employees, for improvement of our plant engineering or for our infrastructure. For this reason, since 2013 we have set up a company-wide energy management system that enables us to follow our consumption, identify individual consumers, determine peaks in consumption and to minimise energy waste.

Thus, we not only meet all energy-relevant statutory and official specifications, but we are also developing additional measures on our own initiative and sense of responsibility for protecting the environment and reducing energy waste.

All employees at the Hanomag Heat Treatment Group are involved in energy management and its implementation and are urged to participate actively in continuous improvement of our energy-related performance.
